[es] hoy fue nuestro ultimo dia en el peru. hemos tenido una oportunidad muy espontanea de ver a la cocina en un restaurante tipico peruano donde hacen cuyes fritos. han mostrado todo, todos los procesos, muy interesante pero duro.
a las 18.00 horas hemos cruzado la frontera a chile, estamos felizes ya estar en nuestro penulitmo pais. mas detalles siguen pronto …

[de] heute war unser letzter tag in peru. wir hatten kurz vor der grenze eine spontane und sehr spannende gelegenheit in einem restaurant hinter die kulissen zu schauen. sie haben uns alles gezeigt und erklärt. hier werden vor allem meerschweinchen fritiert, eine peruanische spezialität. ist hart den verschiedenen prozessen zuzusehen, doch es gehört eben auch dazu!
wir sind um 18.00 uhr glücklich in chile eingefahren, bereits das zweitletzte land auf unserer reise! mehr dazu folg bald …

[en] Today was our last day in peru. just before the border, we had an opportunity to look behind the scenes in a restaurant. they have shown and explained us everything. here are mainly fried guinea pig, a Peruvian specialty. is hard watching the various processes, but it belongs to this job!
We are happy to enter chile at 6pm, already the second-last landmark on our journey! more coming soon …

[es] despues de 2000km lleno de desierto hemos llegado a la sierra del peru. estamos en arequipa 2300 msnm. esta ciudad esta acompañado de tres vulkanes gigantes, que hermosos!
la gente aqui trabaja mucho, a vezes hasta no poder mas. asi puede pasar que uno se duerme en su propio trabajo, aunque a lado esta la carretera mas frequentada de la ciudad.

[de] nach über 2000 km wüste, sind wir nun endlich im hochland auf 2300m in arequipa angekommen. obwohl auch hier noch wüstenähnliche zustände herrschen, kann man wenigstens von einer gewissen kultur zeuge werden. zudem sind hier drei spektakuläre vulkane, welche die stadt umgeben.
die menschen hier arbeiten zum teil bis zur totalen ermüdung. da kann es schon mal passieren, dass man an der arbeit einschläft, obwohl man direkt neben der meist frequentierten strasse sitzt!

[en] after more than 2000 km desert, we are now at 2300m in the highlands and arrived in Arequipa. although still semi-arid conditions prevail, there’s atleast some kinda culture up here, this town is surrounded by three spectacular volcanoes.
the people here work almost til they collapse, it’s possible that they fall asleep at work, although it is right next to the most frequented street!

[es] aqui enmedio del desierto peruano estan cultivando algodon. algo que cada uno de nosotros lo usa diariamente. son impresionantes estas plantaciones. sin algodon no hubiera mucho de la vida cotidiana …

[de] hier inmitten der peruanischen wueste sind die menschen am baumwolle produzieren. etwas, was jeder von uns taeglich braucht. es ist beeindruckend so viele pflanzen auf einem haufen zu sehen. ohne baumwolle wuerde uns im alltag doch einiges fehlen …

[en] here in the midst of the peruvian desert are the people on cotton production. something that each of us needs every day. it is impressive how many plants you can see at one place. without cotton, we would miss alot of things on a daily basis …

unser held des tages ist antonio vargas vom sony reparatur center in lima, der in einer nächtlichen express aktion meine kamera bis auf die letzte schraube zerlegt hatte um den dreck der letzten tausend betriebsstunden zu entfernen. nach diesem foto und einer schlaflosen nacht das überwältigende resultat – blitz blank und so neu wie am ersten tag. herzlichen dank für den einsatz!! wir freuen uns auf glanzvolle kinobilder 2010!

[es] hemos tenido algunos problemas con la camera de thomas (fallas, sucios, y mas). con demasiada suerte encontramos un centro de servicio autorisado de sony. el señor antonio vargas es nuestro heroe del dia. pudo areglar toda la camera en una sola noche, trabajo hasta la madrugada para acabarlo antes de nuestra ida. una gran gracias por su ayuda señor! ahora esperemos unas impresiones mas maravillosas de la pelicula que saldra en 2010 en cines de suiza!

[en] our hero of the day is antonio vargas from sony repair center in lima, in a nightly express action, he took down the camera to the last bolt and removed the dirt of the last thousand hours of operation. after this photo and a sleepless night, the overwhelming result – spotlessly clean and as new as the first day. sincere thanks for the mission! we look forward to glorious cinematic pictures 2010!
